About the CSB

The Center for Stroke Research Berlin (CSB) at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin has been funded since July 2008 by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as an Integrated Research and Treatment Center (IFB). Since June 2018, the CSB has been an independent structure within the medical faculty of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
CSB research groups perform disease-oriented basic research, clinical research, epidemiology and health services research related to stroke.

The CSB has established internal structures to further research and improve research conditions: the trial team module to support clinical studies; the experimental lab module which holds resources for basic research and the Berlin Stroke Alliance.
